For M.S., and all the Rainbows

rainbow tree

Though in my heart of hearts I knew
That days were short, that nights were long
That giving up and giving in,
The tangled paths before you laid,
Would be the steps you would select,
Still I hoped and still I prayed
That you would prove me wrong.
The time is lost, the chance is passed
It never comes again,
Now from rainbow’s full-strung bow
Your earthbound arrow speeds
Take flight in peace, take flight in love
Heaven’s arc your new-found home
Has now your brighter song.
In mirrored bow reflection shows
Who you are inside.

About suzanawylie

Suzana Wylie is the not-very-pseudo pseudonym of Susan Wylie Wilson, because let's face it, there are lots of Susan Wilsons around, and as an author, I want readers to find ME and not the bazillions of others. I've been writing all my life - since I learned to hold a pencil anyway - and can't NOT write. Other people have to breathe to live; I have to write.
