Revenant

Business passenger walk

Revenant comes calling, calling
Knocking at my heart
Walls around me falling, falling

Mists of silver rising, rising
There he stands again
Hard-won respite prising, prising

Into darkness walking, walking
Subject to death’s whims
Hope forever stalking, stalking

Deep buried shadows teasing, teasing
Promises forlorn
Never troubles easing, easing

Fell strikes, deadly, giving, giving
Taking all I have
Revenant comes living, living

And I must pay the price.

About suzanawylie

Suzana Wylie is the not-very-pseudo pseudonym of Susan Wylie Wilson, because let's face it, there are lots of Susan Wilsons around, and as an author, I want readers to find ME and not the bazillions of others. I've been writing all my life - since I learned to hold a pencil anyway - and can't NOT write. Other people have to breathe to live; I have to write.
