Light & Dark

theatre light contrast MGD©

The scattered bands of light and dark
The mysteries just so
Point fingers in the shining dark
Where pilgrims come and go
For where withal the mercy stands
For where it sitteth down
There the carven image stands
There joy is harbored round
Peace in our time is but a joke
A dream in mists of green
Weep laughter for Pagliacci’s joke
While hands remain unseen
The clown, or god, the choice is yours
Can’t see the tortured lies
And knowing not the voice is yours
He lays him down and dies.

About suzanawylie

Suzana Wylie is the not-very-pseudo pseudonym of Susan Wylie Wilson, because let's face it, there are lots of Susan Wilsons around, and as an author, I want readers to find ME and not the bazillions of others. I've been writing all my life - since I learned to hold a pencil anyway - and can't NOT write. Other people have to breathe to live; I have to write.
